Trading Yesterday - Shattered (MTT Version)

Author: TheTradingYesterday

Description:
Taken from their More Than This album. There are two versions of this song, this one is just a little bit longer. Lyrics: Yesterday I died; tomorrow's bleeding Fall into your sunlight The future's open wide beyond believing To know why hope dies And losing what was found, a world so hollow Suspended in a compromise But the silence of this sound is soon to follow Somehow sundown And finding answers Is forgetting all of the questions we call home Passing the graves of the unknown As reason clouds my eyes with splendor fading Illusions of the sunlight A reflection of a lie will keep me waiting With love gone for so long And this day's ending Is the proof of time killing all the faith I know Knowing that faith is all I hold And I've lost who I am, (i'm waiting) and I can't understand (and fading) Why my heart is so broken, (and holding) rejecting your love, (love) without, (onto these tears) love gone wrong; lifeless words carry on (i am crying) But I know, all I know's that the end's beginning (i'm dying tonight) who I am from the start, (i'm waiting) take me home to my heart (and fading) Let me go and I will run, (and holding) I will not be silent, (silent) all this time (onto these tears) spent in vain; wasted years wasted gain (i am crying) All is lost but hope remains and this war's not over (i'm dying tonight) There's a light, there's a sun (i'm waiting...) taking all these shattered ones To the place we belong (i am waiting...) and his love will conquer all Yesterday I died; tomorrow's bleeding Fall into your sunlight

Mar 6, 2010 - Guys this is a christian song. the Line "his love will conquer it all" cannot be interpretted any other way. Just accept it jesus is awesome.

justicelove09 Says:

Mar 7, 2010 - it's not that they don't, they jst changed their name to the age of information. so new name new songs would be on itunes.

cstar7777 Says:

Mar 7, 2010 - It isn't a christian song, please don't bring religion into this song. This song is a beautiful love song and that's what it should remain.

JamieCarterFilms Says:

Mar 7, 2010 - How. If you read the lyrics its a christian song. tell me how you interpret the line "his love will conquer it all" ? how in anyway can that be taken as secular? Plus this band openly calls themselves a christian band.

cstar7777 Says:

Mar 7, 2010 - "His love will conquer all." can be taken in other forms other than god's love conquering everything. Don't get me wrong I'm Catholic/Christian. Plus, they were under an Indie label. You can be Christian and not every one of your songs with a statement like that can necessarily mean it's about god. I know this is probably going to turn into an unnecessary fight, and I really don't want that and I'm pretty sure you don't want that so how about we both end this conversation before it gets hectic

bigtrousers34 Says:

Mar 8, 2010 - I think it can be interpreted in different ways - music never has just one meaning. To you, it could be about religion, while to other people it could be about love. They may well have written in with our Savior in mind, but that doesn't mean that that is how you hear it. Music is this vast expanse - it could mean anything to anyone. Please don't label it, it's very restricting. This song is beautiful.

blackheart3110 Says:

Mar 8, 2010 - I adore this song! But it's so annoying that you can only listen to them on youtube! Itunes needs to do something about that ! x

JamieCarterFilms Says:

Mar 8, 2010 - Im not trying to fight i just dont see how you can take it any other way other then its about god or he's gay and hes singing it about his other gay guy but thats not the case because from this guys other songs you know he is definatly straight

Madara1012 Says:

Mar 9, 2010 - @blackheart3110 lol who still gets songs from itunes nowadays >> eeshh... convert the youtube video file ,limewire, torrents online, theres plenty of ways of getting it w/o having to pay a dollar for each song =/

Calpurnaya Says:

Mar 9, 2010 - I know 2 of the guys from the band and they are very Christian & go to church regularly. It's a Christian song.

Wolfgirl1429 Says:

Mar 9, 2010 - I love this song!! :) This is a Christian song people so stop saying that it is not...

1o951o8 Says:

Mar 9, 2010 - It's unfortunate that people are so keen to argue about whether or not this and other similar songs are Christian songs, and so on. I personally interpret them to be about God, and i feel they were actually written to be about Him, but if someone interprets them otherwise, then im sure the songwriters didnt mean for us to argue about it. Just enjoy the song!

SuoBella Says:

Mar 9, 2010 - this is beautiful, i'm looking for the other version too, can any1 help with a link or something? Thx.

GhostOfAnAssassin Says:

Mar 10, 2010 - The song is boring up until 2:20 lol

sassyk16Reuploaded Says:

Mar 10, 2010 - Ya....but just cuz there christian doesn't mean its a christian song. Cuz there are band members from paramore who are christian but does that mean thier songs are christian? NO. But I do want it to be a christian song Because it does sound a lot like they are talking to god and cuz Im a christian. I just wanted to say that even if somebody is a christian it doesn't mean they write christian songs.

TheDaria99 Says:

Mar 11, 2010 - @cstar7777 u say that as if religion is a bad thing...plz dont bcuz if you do then i apologize but ur a douche fag

cstar7777 Says:

Mar 12, 2010 - I am Christian so how would I say it as if religion is a bad thing if I believe in god?
